Telehealth
The Honeywell HomMed Monitoring System
Telehealth is designed to provide a better quality of life for those concerned about their health or living with health conditions such as CHF or COPD. It provides users the best of both worlds; the comfort and independence of staying at home, and the security of daily monitoring and proper medical attention. Imagine the peace of mind that comes from knowing that every day a registered nurse is monitoring you or your loved one to insure health conditions are under control.
How It Works
Telehealth is easy to use, collecting client vital signs takes approximately three minutes to complete. The actual monitor is a small unobtrusive unit, which includes a custom designed blood pressure cuff that can be put on with one hand, an oxygen saturation sensor, and a scale. A spirometer and glucometer can also be connected. Each day at a set time, the monitor unit notifies the user that it is time to take his/her vital signs. A friendly voice then guides the user through the simple procedure to collect and send the vital signs.
Daily Monitoring
Once the vital signs have been collected, they are transmitted to the central station within the Care Response office. The information is received and reviewed by our registered nurse. If the data collected violates the parameters prescribed by your physician, our nurse will initiate the proper intervention. This allows greater peace of mind for the user, physician, and family. The data is stored and available for trending reports ranging from one week to six months.
The Telehealth Honeywell HomMed Monitoring System is available to anyone through Care Response Home Health Care for a monthly fee of $250. When used in conjunction with the proper diet, medication, and exercise, telehealth can help insure a better quality of life. Clients requiring around the clock or 24/7 care receive telehealth service free of charge.
